Services
Four junk removal services in this silo — here is what each involves and when each is the right call:
Furniture and Appliance Removal — Sofas, dressers, fridges, stoves, washers, dryers. One item or a houseful. What to send: a list or photos of what needs to go, plus which floor it is on. When you need it: when you are replacing furniture or appliances, renovating, or just clearing space.
Important note on appliances with refrigerant: Refrigerators, freezers, window AC units, and dehumidifiers contain refrigerant that must be recovered by a certified technician before disposal, as required by Manitoba Regulation 103/94. I do not haul refrigerant-containing units unless you can confirm the refrigerant has already been properly recovered by a qualified technician. If you are not sure, email me and I will advise.
Garage and Basement Cleanout — Clear out years of accumulated stuff. I sort, load, and haul. You decide what stays and what goes. What to send: a walk-through video or photos of all four walls. When you need it: estate cleanouts, pre-move declutters, or when the garage has become unusable and needs a full reset.
Mattress Disposal — Mattresses are not accepted in curbside collection in Winnipeg. I take them to the appropriate facility — the Brady 4R Winnipeg Depot accepts residential garbage at a tipping fee; reusable mattresses in good condition may qualify for donation. What to send: mattress size (single/double/queen/king) and which floor it is on. When you need it: replacing a mattress, clearing a bedroom, or any time you have no vehicle to haul a bulky item.
Renovation Debris Removal — Drywall scraps, old flooring, trim offcuts, and general reno waste. Loaded up and hauled away so your site is clean. What to send: a description of the material and approximate volume (e.g. "half a pickup truck of drywall scraps"). When you need it: after any reno that generates demolition waste — flooring replacement, drywall work, bathroom or kitchen work.
What I do not haul: Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, propane tanks), appliances with un-recovered refrigerant, hot tubs, pianos, or asbestos-containing materials. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, ask first — I will tell you straight.
How Quoting Works
Send me photos or describe what needs to go. Volume and weight both affect the quote — give me a sense of how much there is.
- Email photos of the junk or describe the cleanout scope.
- I reply with a price.
- I send you available dates and you pick one.
All loads are covered and secured during transport as required by the City of Winnipeg. Reusable items go to donation before disposal where possible.

Questions about this service?
What to Expect
I haul with my own truck and trailer. All loads are covered and secured during transport as required by the City of Winnipeg. I take items to Brady Road Resource Management Facility (commercial customers only) or the appropriate depot depending on the material.
I do not haul hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, propane tanks), hot tubs, or pianos. If you are not sure whether something qualifies, just ask — I will tell you straight.
Free and cheap disposal options exist for some items (4R depots, Habitat for Humanity ReStore donations) — I will mention them if they apply to your job.

I don't do **electrical work** — not even light fixtures, outlets, or ceiling fans. I don't do **plumbing** — not even faucets, toilets, or dishwasher hookups. No **gas work**, no **HVAC**, and no **asbestos removal**. In Manitoba, those trades require a licence and there's no exemption for a handyman working on someone else's property. I'm happy to point you to the right licensed trade for any of those jobs. What a handyman can and cannot do in Manitoba →
