Privacy Policy

Handy Hour ("we", "I", "us") operates this website at https://handyhourwinnipeg.com. This policy explains what information is collected when you contact us or submit a quote request, how that information is used, and how it is protected. This website is operated by a sole proprietor based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

When you use the contact or quote form on this site, you may provide:

• Your name
• Your phone number
• Your email address (optional)
• A description of your job or project
• Photos of your job (optional upload)

We also collect standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for site operation and security purposes. If Google Analytics is enabled on this site, it collects anonymous usage data as described in Google's privacy policy.

Information you submit through the quote form is used solely to:

• Respond to your request with a quote
• Schedule and perform the work you have asked about
• Follow up on open requests

Your contact information is not used for marketing purposes beyond responding to your inquiry.

When you submit a quote request, your contact details (name, phone number, email address and job description) are used to respond to your request. If the job is carried out by an independent local service provider rather than by me, your details will be shared with that provider only so they can contact you about that request. By submitting the form, you consent to being contacted about your request by me or by that provider.

Your information is not sold to data brokers or shared for advertising or marketing unrelated to your request.

If you ask me to refer you to a licensed trade (for example an electrician or plumber), I will pass your details on only with your consent.

If required by law or a valid legal process, information may be disclosed as legally compelled.

This site may use Google Analytics to collect anonymous data about how visitors use the site (pages visited, time on site, browser type). Google Analytics uses cookies. This data does not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

No other tracking cookies or third-party pixels are intentionally set on this site.

By submitting a quote request, you expressly consent to being contacted by Handy Hour by phone, text, or email for the purpose of responding to your request. This consent is limited to the specific request you submitted. We will not add you to a mailing list or contact you for unrelated commercial purposes without separate consent.

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent for continued use of your information
• Request that your information be deleted

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Quote requests and contact information are stored in the form submission system used by this site. Information is retained only as long as necessary to complete the requested work or for a reasonable period thereafter. We take reasonable precautions to protect your information from unauthorized access.

If you have questions about this privacy policy or how your information is handled, contact us at [email protected].
